As a accomplished grower of Dahlias of over 15 years. I purchased tubers from many growers over the years. last year a mishap in storage wiped out my entire crop. I decided to purchase my Dahlias from Elkhorn Dahlias. the web site they put up was nicely kept and they appeared to be very good grower. these folks where very nice and receptive over the phone. I gave my order sent the nearly $500 in a money order and waited for my shipment. The tubers arrived and much to my dismay the tubers are for a lack of better words CRAP. ... read more
I have grown dahlias for many years, would never order from this company. I was recently shown a string of emails between a woman at Elkhorn and one of their customers, who is a top dahlia grower who consistently wins Best of Show award at American Dahlia Society shows. Worst customer service I have ever seen in this or any other industry! The customer had a problem with the order, the tubers did not appear to have eyes and many were very tiny and not vigorous.
