It took far too long to be seen. My daughter said she needed to use the bathroom and asked the nurses in the hall if they needed a sample. They were sos busy on their phones and gossiping she tried to get their attention three times. After I finally got their attention they (rather impertinently) that they did not need a sample. Thirty minutes later, guess what they needed and it was already down the drain. There were other issues as well. Will not likely be back,
We saw Dr De for my son’s broken bone setting and cast. He was amazing at explaining every step to us. Every nurse, assistant, resident etc we saw was so helpful and kind. Obviously no one WANTS to be at The hospital with their child, but if you have to, this is the best place to be!
This is honestly the best place to take your kids for medical care. Everyone is so nice and understanding
The communication between the Medical team and patients has to be more informative. When we can research more than Dr. because we specialize in your kid then that knowledge should be used as well instead of a cookie cutter approach. Just think of the collaboration that could happen if you all really followed that “you know your kid best” model. The last couple of days have been nothing short of infuriating. The fear mongering is so unreal.
Gift shop: very helpful. Lady promptly helped locate what I needed. Reception desk: quick and effective Icu unit: They let everyone in my family inside the room. Overall layout of the hospital: beautiful, modern, child friendly, had everything centrally located, absolutely loved the artwork on the first floor, hallway leading to the bathroom.
This hospital is amazing in all aspects! We live 6 hours away and I definitely do not mind the drive considering how well they took care of my son. We are so glad we are established with this amazing facility.
The nurses in the PICU are great. Professional, knowledgeable, kind, and efficient. If we only had to deal with them you would have 5 stars. The floor nurses that we dealt with this visit were not efficient. My child would request medication and it would take up to 3 hours to get. A heating pad took 2 hours. I understand on the floor you have more patients but there was a serious lack of hustle. My child found a bed bug in her sheets. Sheets that had been changed when she came up from the PICU.
