About

How does a hot soup with a triple-decker beef sandwich sound in an ambiance that has the ideal blend of sophistication and modesty? Perfect! Enter this Jewish deli, which serves Kosher and many more delicacies and have a meal to remember. This spot is not the best you can give your date, but it has its own charm and will save you some money too! Now you can actually enjoy the most important meal of the day, breakfast is served hot and fresh. Another plus is the wee hours of the weekend, so you can hang around till late, or come for some grub after shaking a leg at any of the nearby nightclubs.

Best Corned Beef in Chicago How can you go somewhere and expect great food and not have to actually pay for it? C'mon people!! This is amazingly delicious food no matter what you get. For breakfast, I recommend the challah french toast whatever style you like or the mexican scramble. For lunch, Rubin's Reuben is scrumptious. Best corned beef in the city, no argument from this Jewish boy. More please. There are cleverly named sandwiches that add to the local flavor, named after Woody Allen, Marshall Fields, Jerry Springer, Grandma and more..... Try it, you'll like it. Oh, and bring some money people, this is good food you are paying for, not taco bell.

You will have leftovers and a full belly. Their takes on the classic sandwiches are all very good - the monte cristo, the reuben, brisket - just thinking of them makes my mouth water. It sucks that you have to order fries separate. The matzoh brie is also extremely tasty. I have had the exact opposite experience of the first reviewer; everytime I have been at Eleven City Diner the owner has come up to us to make sure everything was alright and was quite congenial. At the prices you are paying for deli food, that kind of attention to the diner's experience is what makes the trip worth it. I work in the area and couldn't afford to go there often but as a special occasion I am glad it is nearby.

Worst Dining Experience Ever!!! The service and management at this place are terrible. Don't be fooled by the initial charm of this place or it's management - looks are decieving at this place!! I visited this restaurant with 2 friends and were made to feel as if we could not read a menu. Our bill reflected the cost of $4.50 for Orange juice and the menu said $2.00, when we asked about this the sarcastic supervisor on duty "Josh" responded "I am not required by law to list the prices of everything. I also don't list the cost of a side of hot sauce on the menu." The owner/manager Brad is ridiculously unreasonable as well.

It will be the last time I go there.... The food is ok but not worth the price. My husband I went there for brunch with our 9 mo old. Our bill was $50 and we didn't have anything to drink! They charged $7.00 for the kids pancake! I also think the owner is horrible. He is such a micro manager and needs to learn how to treat his staff in front of the customers. I also think he makes customers with children wait longer so he can sit them in the back or away from everyone else. That is fine but over the loud music, regular customer noise, and his yelling customers names and trying to get them to order bloody mary's while they wait, you would never hear a child. This will be the last time I go there. I recommend Yolks around the corner on Michigan! We would have been better off waiting there.

I didn't know what to expect when we went to the dinner but the atmosphere is great and I instantly fell in love with it. Bubbie's chicken soup and the corned beef and pastrami hash plate were delicious. However I've definitely had better ceaser salads. Definitely think it's worth checking out.

Absolutely deplorable service and shady practices complicit with what gives this city a bad reputation. My friend and her partner went here for a birthday meal and had to wait, which isn't the problem. The problem is: 2 cops strolled in and didn't have to wait to get seated. My friend (who has been a loyal customer and has recommended the place frequently over the years) asked as to why the cops could be seated before her and her partner who had been waiting, and thus were ASKED TO LEAVE with no explanation. Why? Doesn't matter why: don't go here. There are plenty of better diners to check out: Saint Lou's Assembly for something fancier, Huck Finn on the Southside for a dependable diner meal, and literally anywhere else.

Worst GM/owner in the history of the universe. I wish I could have recorded the disgusting words that spewed from his mouth when he called me about a client event that HE had been mistaken about (that I never ended up booking at his diner). Stay far, far away.

eleven city diner – The absolute worst restaurant in the WORLD! As a former Flight Attendant I have traveled quite a bit. I have never encountered such rude service. Apparently the owner is quite a pill, and his staff follows his lead. Please, Please stay away.
