Electric Karma is the kind of place people seek out and return to for the atmosphere as much as the food (and sometimes more so). With themes of exotic allure and sensuous splendors of the mysterious East woven throughout the decor, any lover of ambiance is in for an enchanting afternoon. The beautiful rear patio, swathed in bold rich colors, thrills the eye, inviting associations with 1001 Nights. The patio is highly recommended to all newcomers as it delivers the serenely indulgent, almost transcendent, experience of dinin... read more

It's Ok – I wasn't particularly impressed with this restaurant although their Indian Sangria was quite tasty. The lamb biryiani was pretty good but a little pricey I thought. The decor is very nice and is a good place for either a date or party. The service was a little slow too. There are better Indian restaurants in LA but you could certainly do worse.
Great combination of atmosphere and food – Just got back after having dinner with some friends at Electric Karma. I'm Indian so am usually suspicious of most "Indian" restaurants as the food tends to be a little "catered" to the western palate. I went there because of the good reviews on this site. Let's just say I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was really lively - there was a true-to-form Bollywood movie playing on a big screen and the decor was quite festive. The "Indian sangria" (first time I've heard of it!) wa... read more
Yum & Fun – Electric Karma is inexpensive with really good food. The interior courtyard is fun and a pretty fantastic setting for lunch or dinner. The staff is super friendly and efficient. The one caveat is Surya is just a few blocks east on Third and has better food... the difference in quality might be lost on your average person but for a connoisseur of Indian cuisine it is undeniable. That said, if you want good food in a fun atmosphere Electric Karma is hard to beat.
Beautiful patio and excellent food – i've eaten here four or five times over the past year and it has gotten better and better each time i've gone. i went the other night for dinner and was reminded of how beautiful and romantic the back patio is at night - soft pillows on persian rugs, open air roof/canopy, small fountain, and candles galore. it is the perfect place to go on a date. the inside is also nice, but the patio is wonderful on a warm evening. the food was also unbelievable. we had the lamb karhai and were really p... read more
Third Street storefront offers palatial Indian backdrop and standard Subcontinental eats. – In Short With its closely huddled wooden sidewalk tables (a familiar sight along this popular restaurant stretch) and colorful larger-than-life Indian murals adorning the walls, this red-hued nook has long been a favorite with the area's cool kids and couples. Large mirrors add depth to the main room, while white linen tablecloths and ornate Geineshas add to the scene. The menu includes popular dishes like the pakoras (tandoori dishes... read more
Best Indian Food – I never really liked Indian food until I discovered Electric Karma. The BEST chicken Tikka Masala in town! I crave this dish. With ALL natural spices this is your best bet. The staff is friendly and the trip to Bollywood is classic. Don't miss their Sangria. Whether you dine with one friend or 12, this is the place to go for great food and a fun atmoshphere.
The best Indian in town. – I really love Electric Karma! The coconut curry is amazing...The Indian mojitos and sangria are delicious. The patio is very relaxing and a great place for a large group. Plus, the Bollywood videos on the big screen....I love it there...
Romantic – Up in class and the service is #1.The food you can tell there was very extra care and taste.
Very positive karma – I came for the butterflies painted on the outside walls; I'll be back for the food.
