Our founder, Peter, started El Rancho Grande as a way to pass on his family's heritage. He started with a small taco stand in a train diner car at Union Pier and has worked dedicatedly with his team to build it into the local dining destination it is today. Service was SLOW! Drink orders came out wrong, food was wrong and the restaurant was not busy. Definitely disappointed and would not recommend to anyone.
Food was ok. Took 1.5 hours to get food. Ridiculous
We called ahead and they said there was a 20 minute wait. We sat, ordered, and then ate some chips. We saw a huge table leave and another table get angry. An hour and twenty minutes went by. Several tables then started to walk out. We asked what was going on & the waitress said we were still #3 to get our food made. She estimated about another 20-30 minutes before our food was cooked. Good food....but if you don't like oil, make sure you tell the server to watch it! I ordered a grilled shrimp dish (not breaded). It was literally floating in oil. The rest of the food was good. The inside has great décor.
Good service and just had the left overs. We will be going back!

Love this place. Been here a few times and have never been disappointed! Food is fabulous! So are the margaritas!
Sounds like we got lucky...the food was very good and the service was even better.
