Throwing at us?!?! – We ate at El Porton and had a horriable experience. The server was obviously annoyed with us when the dinner came out cold for most of us and two of us got things we NEVER ordered. When he brought back the items that we DID order he threw them on the table and walked away. We tried to contact a manager but they would not get one for us. Instead a waiter pretended to be a manager until we caugh his bluff! What kind of service is that?
Great price, great food!! – This is a restaurant that I frequent often because their food is great and the price is right! The service is very good as well.
Satisfying Mexican food – Though some may still pine for the old days when El Porton was in the shopping center several miles down the street, this location serves up the quality Americanized Mexican food you want to come with your chips and queso. This is a step above the average too greasy, too cheesy Mexican joint. The wait staff is nice, and I've never been disappointed with the food here. And the previous reviewer is right, the sopa de pollo is excellent.
