We came from Dallas to Laredo to visit family. We were told that this place was great. The food is okay not all that! We were a table of 9 people. We all order our plates and we asked the gentleman if we could exchange some of the sides and he said yes. Well when we got the check it was ridiculously HIGH! They charged us for every exchange we did! Oh and just because I didn't want my sauce on top of my chicken the lady charged me $4! Every exchange was like $2!! almost $40 of charging for NO REASON! Excellent service friendly staff
The salsa at El Meson is one of a kind and starts your meal of right. Today I had the guisada de res with a side of fideo. This fideo is really good. Carne was tender and tasty. Exceptional meal. One very small observation/ complaint. Why are you served with plastic utensils? The plates, bowls, etc are not disposable, so why use disposable forks and spoons? Not only environmentally irresponsible, but it cheapens the experience. This isn’t a fast food or taco truck. This meal is much better than to be eaten with plastic.
We love eating here when we visit Laredo. The food is as good as it’s always been and the staff make you feel very welcome!!
