Definitely one of my newest favorite places in South Austin!! The food is great!! The shrimp enchiladas are so delicious as is the queso!! And The Backstage is such a great music venue!! I can't wait to go back!
I love El mercado South. Been a customer for over 23 years. Birthdays any celebrations we head to the El Mercado South 1st. Been to Burnett one and Lavaca nothing like South ElMercado. Eddie and his staff will take good care of you. If you become a regular your family just like we are.

The South Austin location here is hands down still one of the best in Texas!! My parents used to take my siblings and I here all the time and even after all these years it's still great as I remembered from years ago!! Our waitress was awesome as well great customer service!!

No Caldo DE Res Not cool Not really a Mexican Restaurant
I love this place it's delicious every time. Salsa makes my mouth water just thinking about it. We always get queso and fajita nachos they go just right with the playground in the back. The kids love it, we love it. Perfect!
