About this business

The sombreros and parrots, mixed with the Mexican music in the background, could fool diners into thinking they stepped into a fiesta. This good old-fashioned restaurant is serious about its Mexican food, served with a progressive touch. From breakfasts of huevos, rancheros or migas to dinners of grilled chicken, shrimp, fajitas and more, the food here does not fail to satisfy. The atmosphere is casual; the patio is terrific and the hot sauce is great.

The food was great along with the service. Very reasonably priced. Will dine there again.

Food is OK most of the time. Queso is very plain and if you order a large it comes in a wider bowl but not much more cheese than a small. Waitstaff in the Backstage area is hot and cold. Doesn't seem to depend on the crowd size. Have been there with very small crowd and the waiter still remains very confused throughout the evening. Questionable service for two weeks yet this week our server was terrific. Significantly pricier than most other Tex-Mex restaurants.

Had wonderful evening at the Back stage. Ernie Durawa has the best shows with great guests. Food and service was excellent. Got to see Jimmy Vaughan as a guest performer with Ernie.

I've eaten there few years ago snd the food was good but yesterday I ordered off of the lunch menu cheese enchiladas and the sauce tasted like the one on the old frozen El patio frozen enchiladas yuck and no flour tortillas were offered. Guess Im spoiled by the San Antonio mom and pop restaurants
