Just moving back to Pompano after spending the last 10 years in SoCal, I've been searching for authentic Mexican food here. I just happen to stumble upon El Jefe Lunchador driving down Federal Hwy last week. I didn't just find authentic Mexican food, I found HEAVEN!!!
So happy I found this place! Coming from the west coast, I could not find anyplace with even semi-authentic Mexican street tacos. Absolutely delicious! A bit pricey, but I still go!

Amazing tacos. Loved the Mahi Mahi. .. shrimp and the el chicharon
The food is good. Simple street style Mexican food for reasonable price. The menu is impossibly hard to deal with. Way too busy and just gives me a headache.
Love the El Rey tacos! The Blue Demon was delish, too, but a little too spicy for me.
