margarita bombs! – the margaritas at this place are lethal. if you can take two, you'll be seeing stars and walking on your hands. the food is average, but the chips and salsa are good. combine that with the margaritas and you can have a grand ole time with friends here on the cheap!
Mexican Brunch – The food here is excellent and so are the margarita's are well worth just watch how many you have they are strong. The best thing is the Sunday brunch, if you have never been to a mexican brunch this one you should try and it is pretty inexpensive
Family owned and Operated – El Jardin has been part of wrigleyville forever. It is owned and operated by a truely mexican family, no mexican wanna be's. The food is traditional mexican and the carne asada a michel is recommended. It is reasonably priced with killer margaritas. If you want a place to enjoy great mexican food with a very nice atmosphere, this is the palce.
Best Mexican Food in Lakeview – I love this place. The patio is great to sit in during the summer and drink the best and strongest margeritas in the city while enjoying El Jardin's delicious and affordable mexican food. The enchilada's are my favorite dish here. The service is fast and friendly, and the food is excellent and a great value.
Aye Caramba – The margaritas are strong. What else needs to be said? El Jardin's is not known for the quality of their food but more so for the quality of their margaritas. The food is good enough to eat, not the best but not the worst and the wait is friendly and prompt.
What's the catch? – I agree with an earlier reader -- I just don't see the draw. The first time I was there everything was great until I ordered. We got a great table on enclosed patio in the back. But the service was slow, the fajitas were average and the margaritas were bland. And to top it off, the bill left us feeling cheated.
El Jardin has a 4.1 star rating with 679 reviews.
El Jardin is open now. It will close at 6:00 p.m.
