El Farol Mexican Restaurant has been a Midvale Utah eatery staple since 1967. 90% of our menu is made from scratch. Our handmade Corn Tortilla Tacos are delicious! Our Southern Mexican Simmered Salsa is unique and tasty (we also have 3 more Salsas to try also). We have many gluten free options. And the Flan...so creamy, homemade-definitely the best in Utah! $2 Taco Tuesdays are busy because we are well known for our Handmade Hard Shell Tacos. Drive, Walk or RUN here but come hungry.

Voted Hispanic Business of the Year 2007! – Hispanic Business of the year 2007. The food is made from scratch. Nothing pretentious on the menu, just great homemade food. If you have a wheat allergy, they have plenty of choices that are great. Prices are fantastic. I can get a complete lunch for less than $6. Friendly and Clean! – very tasty food, although the chip sauce (like tomato soup?) left something to be desired. try the tamales enchilada style, they are a little on the dry side otherwise but extremely delicious! pass on the sopapillas...get a dairy queen on the way home instead.
Wonderful Service – This is great mexican restaurant. The staff is very friendly. The service was great the food was wonderful. The chili verde was the best I've ever tasted (next to moms of course). The salsa, however, left much to be desired but overall it was a great experience
Good Food, Fast Service – El Farol serves up piping hot food with great service...!!! I've been to this restaurant many times and have always found the servers to be attentive and helpful. The food is served piping hot on heated plates. This place can be busy on Friday and Saturday evenings but is well worth the wait.
Great little restaurant – I also have yet to be dissappointed by El Farol! This is a fantastic little Mexican diner that has been open for (if I remember correctly) like 20 years in the same location. The food is fantastic (very large portion sizes) the service is exellent. This my favorite south-valley Mexican restaurant.
Excellent, Fresh, and Authentic Mexican – I am yet to be disappointed by El Farol. A great little family-run restaurant in Midvale. My wife had never liked Mexican food until she tried El Farol's Chimichanga. I prefer the Chile Verde. The tortillas are so soft and warm. The chips and salsa as an appetizer are excellent! This is the best Mexican in the valley.
