Has been a favorite for years and years, never a disappointment. Even when each of us went off to college (many years ago) we ALWAYS picked El Az as our "go to" resteraunt when back in town, and it's now our "go to" when guests are in town. Margaritas are amazing as is the food and the employees!!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My order came out with a big hair in it. I showed it to the waiter who took it back to the kitchen and said they would remake it for me, which was fine. Then he brought my "new" order back, which was EXACTLY the same plate. They didn't even bother to remove the hair from the plate before bringing it back to me!!!! The waiter did not apologize once and the manager was very indifferent about what happened in her restaurant. We will never eat here again.

El Azteco rules! Lansing tradition! I've been going to Teco since I was a kid. I still love it, and the burritos are a great deal! Love the salsa, cheese dip and guac!

Not vegan friendly at all. At other Mexican restaurants you can easily make a vegan meal out of many dishes on the menu by choosing a vegetarian dish and requesting no cheese . Here my only choice was the nachos without meat or cheese. It was to come with jalapeños but it didn't, so I paid $10 for a plate of chips with beans on them. The waiter even rolled his eyes at me when I ordered. If I hadn't gone there with co- workers in their car I would have left. Restaurants should consider all types of diets especially now that t... read more

Business response:

I am so sorry that happened! Did it happen at the Lansing location? If it was here my waiter should have given you many ideas like the bean Burrito no cheese or the Botana no cheese or the Topopo no cheese no chicken those would've been pretty flavorful? Did you catch the waiters name?

My family and I came here yesterday to have dinner. This was our first time coming to El Azteco. We sat down and we waited over 20 minutes for a waiter to come over and take our order. No one ever came, let alone offered if we wanted anything to drink. We did notice some of the waiters saw that we were waiting but they decided to turn the other way and server others. We got up and left and decided we would go eat somewhere else and be treated with excellent service somewhere else. My family & I will never come here to eat an... read more

Business response:

I'm so sorry to hear this, we want to investigate more about this incident, may I ask you. Did you and your family come to the west Saginaw location? Or the one in east Lansing?

We had a great time and great service on Cinco de Mayo. It was so busy but it didn't stop our service. Our server and food was perfect, when we were done eating we went to the basement for some karaoke fun!! Love El Az!!

I can't tell you what I really think!! An hour and a half is not acceptable! At least 5 tables seated, ordered, after we ordered, and served and left before our food arrived! Won't get a chance for it to happen again! We left, drove to Charlotte, went to Don Tequila's! Walked in, seated, and served in less than 10 minutes, complete with drinks! Cinco de Mayo was great in Charlotte!
