El Azteca Restaurant has awful food!! Awful food!! This is not good mexican food, at all!! And I am finding that more and more people are finally figuring this out! I would not waste any money on this restaurant! You'd be better off going to Taco Bell, at least their food is seasoned!!
I have to say the atmosphere was fantastic! Their food was fabulous and their service was the best ever!! As far as Im concerned this place adds class to the small community of Mayville. We used to live in Mayville but have moved a little while ago. Even so we still travel 2 hrs back there just to dine at El Azteca because they are just that good!! Visiting the Horicon Marsh area with my hubby and stopped for lunch at ElAzteca. We could not believe the great prices and how good the food was. Their fajitas were prepared just the way I like them. I also had the best mango margarita I have ever tasted! Would highly recommend this if in the area.

Well, after seeing an ad in the local paper saying that El Azteca will be having a new menu, and from someone that has been there lately and said the food is better, I decided it was time for another chance for El Azteca. First off, the salsa.....not a big fan...it could use a little work. But everybody has different tastes. Second, they have a insert to their menu with 5 new dishes. I have tried the California burrito with steak, which was pretty good. But I thought it was a bit skimpy on the amount of steak in the burrito.... read more

I dont know what Foodie1 is talking about, but as the others reviews also say, this is an excellent place! The food is great, drinks are awesome, service is the best around. Extremely friendly people. Love the free chips and dips! Also please note, having been there before and after the last closure, this place is under different management. Has only gone up, not that it was even bad before!
Great food, great waitress, very nice atmosphere. The fajitas are wonderful, guacamole and salsa are excellent. Everything we had was really good. Theres a wide variety on the menu and the prices are reasonable.
