Had a delightful hike at ESP yesterday with my brother-in-law who hails from England. He is an avid hiker and enjoyed the day immensely.

Beautiful Park and fun activities
Camping at Eisenhower park was enjoyable. While we chose to only stay 1 weekend night due to busy schedules, it was a relaxing get-away which was pleasant. There are many areas to choose from. The park is nice and clean- spiders and ivy to watch out for, yet watching deer running through was a big highlight. I definitely plan to return and recommend it with high regard! We had such an amazing trip for the this week of the fourth of july at the Eisenhower State Park - Texas Parks and Wildlife. We stated at shelter spot 24 and had a doe come up to our campsite. Maybe 5 ft from where we were standing. A family of owls came and checked us out. At one point i think we counted 5 that we visually could see and others in the distance flying around. Spent a wonderful 4 days here 2019.06.24 to 2019.06.27, most of the park was closed due to heavy rains the night before we arrived, however we had a great time in a wonderful park.
This place is awesome. Never had a bad experience until today.i was by the picnic area left my food and supplies by the picnic tables and we decided to go fishing when we got back our supplies and food got stolen. 😕
Lots of things to do here, fishing is great too !
