We just stayed Friday through Monday of Memorial day weekend; our second stay at this park. I saw the weather was going to bad on 5/19/17 and decided to get a screen shelter instead of setting up my tent. What a wise decision that turned out to be. At 11:00pm the storm rolled in and rained and lightening for almost 3 hours. The screen shelter was very nice and roomy. Most of all I got a great view of the storm and stayed dry too. I will be back.......MR

Best state park in Texas, beautiful views and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the fossil program given by the park naturalist, Kate. She did an excellent job keeping the kids engaged and interested in fossils.
