Passed me off to an intern after 2 weeks of waiting to schedule an appointment. I already consulted with and felt comfortable with a therapist that has more experience dealing with my specific mental health concerns (that’s why I chose him). Disappointing and waste of time.
I was looking for my first ever therapist, one that I could feel comfortable with, as if I had known them for years. After finding Margaret Shouse online, her profile felt warm and welcoming, but what truly stood out was the effort she made to reach out and how she genuinely lived up to the person she described herself to be. I have been blessed to be able to work with two different, but both exceptional, therapists at Effective Artistry. Both are incredibly knowledgeable, keep you accountable, are supportive (in a holistic lens as well), and empathetical individuals; both have fostered a safe space for healing. As someone in the mental health field and going to EA for close to 3 years, if you are seeking mental health support or wanting to start your journey, I’d without hesitation recommend Samire and Caitlin. 🫶
Although my daughter(12yo), who needs a lot of support, was with this organization for 2 years, I am thoroughly disappointed with them and had been for a while, but because my daughter liked the therapist(more socially) I didn't want to end things. On a regular occurrence, her therapist would cancel the day of her appointment. The reasons ranged from illness to car problems and everything in between.
