I was told that likely there would be swelling for several weeks. After the swelling subsides, he assured me there should be no problem. This Dr. damaged nerves in my spine while performing fusion surgery (L5S1). He did not tell either my husband or myself this occurred. The day after I was discharged while Googling symptoms I was having, I realized I probably had Cauda Equina Syndrome. He had written an article on CES's "red flags" but refused to acknowledge that anything was wrong with me. After 2 months, I left. A spinal cord injury specialist did diagnose CES. My life as planned is over due to his negligence.
