Beware of making an appointment with Dr. Hernandez of Eyes of the Southwest! As for me, Dr. Hernandez did not keep it. My appointment was made well in advanced for July 18, at 2:00 pm. The office asked me to sign in by 1:30 pm. I signed it at about 1:20 pm. At about 2:30 pm I asked the office as to why I have to wait so long. No explanation or an excuse. I highly recommend, Dr. Hernandez. A friend had recommended I see Dr. Hernandez for my eye surgery; I'm so thankful she recommended him. Dr. Hernandez is very professional and polite. Had successful cataract removal in one eye. Had a rare complication and Dr Hernandez was very responsive, even seeing me after hours to see I had adequate care and called several times to check on my progress The condition was resolved successfully and I have no hesitation having Dr Hernandez do my other eye. The sight in the operated eye is above my expectations, actually great. I recommend Dr. Hernandez because of his demonstrated skill, caring, and responsiveness.
While managing a crazy busy practice, Dr. Hernandez took the time to explain the cataract procedures I was contemplating and helped me decide on which lens and type of surgical process would work best for my situation. He is a true professional and his staff were uniformly courteous, friendly and interested in me as a patient. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone needing cataract surgery.
My wife and I have both had cataract surgery with Dr. Hernandez. It was a pleasant and professional experience. We believe Dr. Hernandez is the best Las Cruces NM has to offer when it comes to eye surgery. He is accurate with his diagnosis, and explains everything you need to know prior to and after surgery. Follow-up care was excellent.
Excellent doctor. Came in on Sunday morning for emergency with my mother. Helped her right away.
