We have been building a home with Hughston homes since march now and have had to watch everything they do. We ordered "upgrades" that didn't get installed, and when we pointed it out they had to rip out sheet rock to install the upgrades. They also claim to be a custom home builder, but don't ask for any upgrades. They will quote you exorbitant prices, in hopes that you won't do them, or just say it can't be done. Nice designs on their homes however they do things half way and force you into upgrades that are way overpriced. If you think you'll choose your own selections be prepared for set backs. Even with things in writing it doesn't hold any weight. The agent representing the company...don't think I can review that here. I've met several people who know her and how they operate before I say her name. You'd think this company would want to make clients happy and keep a positive reputation.
Edgar Hughston built my home in 2002 and it was a wonderful experience...including office staff, follow-up, etc. The finished product exceeded my expectations. However, having said that....It appears something has happened since 2010. My 5 stars are from 2002. S. Stanford
