Take your money elsewhere. Hughston homes cut down a tree in Auburn (AL) with an active eagles nest in it. They lied to Auburn City Council and now they want to Gas light the city of Auburn by saying the nest wasn't active. Video evidence, Via John Braswell on Facebook, shows eagle in the nest the day prior to it being cut down. That makes it a Felony, They can't be trusted to clear land properly let alone build a house properly... you really want to spend your money with these assholes?
After reading the reviews. I'm so glad I only own property adjacent to Hughston built homes.
People are being sold lemons. Houses are very poorly built. Save your money and buy a good quality home.
Horrible quality homes. Have seen them literally build an entire house overnight. They use the cheapest labor possible, that results in the shittest quality of work. Hughston Homes are junk and builder only cares about making money. Almost my entire subdivison states that they have had issues since Day 1 of moving in. Repairs per the 1 year warranty are a joke. Repairs made are still of the same poor quality they initially were.
They want to sell you a cookie cutter home with cheap finishes everywhere. You can find better new construction. They are all about just selling as many homes as possible

We purchased a home a year and a half ago from Hughston Homes. Their customer service and warranty promises are a joke. Our 30 day list of things that needed attention were never addressed and put on our 1 year list. We are still waiting and I assume we will be. The grade is off on our yard and it holds water which causes water damage in garage. We have mentioned this since we first moved in. The list goes on. They build the houses very quickly and it shows. We have been building a home with Hughston homes since march now and have had to watch everything they do. We ordered "upgrades" that didn't get installed, and when we pointed it out they had to rip out sheet rock to install the upgrades. They also claim to be a custom home builder, but don't ask for any upgrades. They will quote you exorbitant prices, in hopes that you won't do them, or just say it can't be done.
