HORRIBLE - BE WARNED – I am a tenant and have had horrible, horrible customer service. HORRIBLE OFFICE STAFF – I'm in property management myself and called the office to receive residency verification on a former tenant of theirs. I have never professionally dealy with such horrible customer service and would not reccomend this company to anyone. Use caution! I could not get verification with a signed copy of a release form and they told me they did not have time. Simply the best – I am an Edel Family tenant. I am quit baffled by the diversity of the replies of some of the bloq participants. Quiet frankly I am very satisfied with the service and professionalism that this firm has provided to me. I feel no need to rush to Judgement as to their Credibility. Got rodents? Edel does. – I lived in an Edel property for two years and had a major rodent issue. I called to complain and Edel responded with their world famous "hang-up" way of handling tenants. They claimed they entered my apartment to deal with the problem but the problem continued. I doubt their honesty and integrity. They also tried to keep my damage deposit, said they "accidently" forgot about it. I complained and complained and complained but Edel is expert at dodging tentants.
Simply the best!! – I have just purchased an apartment in Washington Heights after 4 agonizing months of searching. I have dealt with everyone from brokers to landlords to supers. Most Honorable Real Estate Firm In New York City – Edel Family Management Corp is a true New York find. They have fabulous Buildings that offer both Rentals and Cooperatives. They are a hands on Family Managed firm with a lovely selection of Apts. in the Upper Manhattan area known as "Hudson Heights". They are in buisness for over fifty years! Great Experience – It is very rare that someone puts pen to paper and actually writes a good review. With that being said, I'm not surprised to read some of the reviews/comments about renters highlighting their so-called bad experiences with Edel Family Management. Quality service & beautiful buildings!! – I have been renting from Edel Family Management for over 7 years, and have lived in 3 of their buildings (due to changing space requirements). Throughout the years EFM has helped me find affordable housing that matched my needs and maintained a professional level of respect throughout.
