This cafeteria-style Midtown eatery is easy to spot from the street. The atmosphere inside isn't too extravagant, resembling a school lunch room, but welcomes crowds for their good food. There's plenty to choose from as you fill your tray. Fresh meats, pastas and salads can be grilled or arranged to order, or choose from a wide range of vegetarian alternatives. Try the jerk chicken or cheese tortellini with marinara sauce. Beer and wine are available as well.

Eats is the BEST of the CHEAP!!!! – I have been going to Eats for years now. It has changed very little, and that's a good thing. The pasta dishes are all very good, and the portions are MORE than adequate. The JERK CHICKEN is also to die for. The meat just falls off the bone. Mmmm...You can treat 4 people to a meal there and it would be less than $30!!!! EXCELLENT!!!!
Burgers and beyond. – The Vortex is known for its burgers but has more to offer. The weekend brunch is limited but very good. They also have very good soup and specialty sandwhiches.
Little Five Points in Midtown – Not much of a selection here, but I am someone who could live on a bowl of pasta with a good pesto sauce and an Italian sausage. Don't take flighty, first dates here. I have enjoyed the hearty portions especially after an exerting day at the park.
good eatz... – For years now, Eatz delivers. Weekend cure, or weeknight treat, always our favorite place to eat...
Not cheap any longer – it was once true you could get good food cheap here, but those days are gone. How can a place be cheap if they nickle and dime you for every addition to your meal. .75 cents for bread with your pasta etc. I have never gotten out of there for less than 7.00. Try Marco's Pita up the street for good cheap food.
Simple Fare – if you want either jerk chicken or a pasta dish, then head on over to Eats. pretty self-explanatory, stand in 1 of the lines, oreder yo grub, then get it on baby! I once sat next to Chili of TLC @ lunch!! The pasta w/ turkey meat sauce is one of my faves!!!
Lots of Good Food – Huge portions for such a great price. What's not to love about this place.
10 – What's not to love about Eats? Amazing jerk chicken, quick-steamed veggies and folks who know the meaning of al dente pasta. Sure it's crowded sometimes. Just get it to go. It's almost all healthy and all good.
Great for out-of-towners – Guests love coming to this slightly gritty, extremely cheap joint. Adding mushrooms and peppers to an already heaping dish of pesto pasta makes a perfect $5 meal.
