Great Place filled with everything you can think of. Much cheaper, bigger and better selection that the Royal Oak Farmers Market. The RO market is 5 minutes away: I make the trip 15 minute drive downtown and make a day of it at Eastern Market. LOVE Eastern Market!
My family and I have been going to EM for 30 yrs. it holds many great memories us: when the lop earred bunnies escaped, my bad; knocked over a bushel basket of imported Italian chestnuts- they rolled everywhere. Many great breakfasts, bbq's, fun with parents, grandparents, our kids and showing them the way to enjoy EM so they will carry on with the tradition.
I love EM. I'm a sommelier in study and can find everything there! I just started a fb page called Detroit is delicious all about the creative dishes I am able to afford by shopping EM with monthly give aways from Detroit companies just for being on the page!
LOVE it for flower day! But was highly disappointed with the holiday market, we went for our tree because of Everyone's rave reviews of the tree farm is what made us decide to go sadly the customer service was horrible! I was snapped at by whom I assume to be the owner when I questioned the height of the tree, (because we have low ceilings)he literally walked away mumbling, we still bought the tree for( $75) only because my 5 boys were so excited! Selling mammals, and what it looks like a dog is wrong. There's a photo of a woman Melonie Wright who bought a "dog" or "cat" or "raccoon" all over the internet about how she bought it FROM YOUR MARKET with ears cut off and can't wait to cook it. Shame on you for promoting health when cruelty is the underlying actions.
