Best New Microbrew Bar in the Downtown Area! – Anyone who loves trying new and different microbrews and some fine food, both apps and dinners, will love the East Village Tavern. I started with a flight of 4 different beers which gave me a nice sampling of the dark beers on tap, found the one Iike best "Arcadia London Porter" it was excellent! best fries in the borough, great beers at a great price, always good staff, cheese steak is top notch, sliders make good snacks between beers...and so on... – Oh this place you gotta have fries, cheesesteak and sliders with your beers cause the food is the jam and the beers are insane...staff is always good except for when they spill beer all over your head on accident....or maybe on purpose...
You've gotta try this place! – Great place to go for a satisfying experience. The rotating selection of american beer is exceptional. Good break from the ordinary as far as enjoying a quality beer. The menu stands on its own, delicious food that compliments the beers well, a good step above "ordinary" pub food. East VIllage Tavern - A Great Experience! – Have been there several times and have a blast each time! Great atmosphere, friendly and informative staff and last but definately most important.......... GREAT and DELICOUS BEER. What more can you ask for in a bar? I am absolutely going back!
American Beer Bar – I would fancy myself somewhat of a beer geek and the EVT does an amazing job of choosing great craft beers and keeping them fresh and rotating on draft. I spoke with the owner who said that they regularly clean their lines . Nothing is worse than going to a bar, seeing a great beer on tap, and getting a funky pour because the lines are dirty. Just Booked a Party There Great Place Great Beer Great Time – I just recently booked a party there and really enjoyed myself. The place was very accommodating and I highly recommend booking a party there. The beer selection I thought was great and I am a rookie to this new craft beer craze. The different types of beer suits everyone. If don't want a beer the bar is fully stocked. Check the place out. The neighborhood is really starting to take off.

I wish this place was closer to my job! – Went here with a bunch of teachers from Ditmas Jr. High (thanks Monty). We had a great time here. The beer was supurb! The doors were opened up to the street and the atmosphere was great! Let us know when the next party is going to be!!! Can't wait to come back! We also had some great snacks! Great after-work hangout – I rarely hang out in the ever-gentrifying Alphabet City anymore, but this is a really fun hangout, comfy and unpretentious. They have a great happy hour, where the well drinks are not juts mixer! I know little about beer, but I know the few I really like and the waitress was great at recommending beers from their list that I would like based on my tastes.
