I called today in anticipation of my appointment next week. I asked for an estimate of charges. I was informed that they don’t give estimates. I said what’s the contracted rate, because I can certainly go from there with my policy? Still couldn’t help me. I was informed that they do not require payment at registration then given a CPT code and told to contact my insurance. They were very well organized. When I signed in as a new patient, I didn't have to fill pages and pages of forms, only 3 pages of mostly initiating. They took me right back, no waiting. I had x-rays and then a CT scan. It took only 20 minutes to complete all of it, and I was ready to go. I was told that their CT scan is more high-tech than most and that the images are converted into 3D. There is no need for an MRI.
I am severely claustrophobic.. so I wasn't happy about needing an MRI of my knee.. Stephen was awesome preparing me for what to expect.. made sure that I didn't feel too restricted while in the MRI.. Dr. Gash did a precautionary chest x-ray to be sure metal that I have in my chest wasnt going to be a problem in the scanner.. and then came out after and spoke with me even showing me my film and shaking my hand and talking for a few moments..
