Fabulous Fabulous Fabulous! – My husband & I love this place. The lovely waitstaff always recognizes us - & often sends us a free dessert. The curries & chicken tikka are wonderful. Also wonderful is the calamari - they put their own spin on it & it is not to be missed. We also love the atmosphere - very cozy & inviting. We have NEVER had a problem with slow service. If you go for lunch, the lunch specials are extremely reasonable. And frankly dinner isn't much more. Go & enjoy yourself!

Incredible! Those lookin for great indian food delivered READ!!! – I'm one of those real fussy eaters... I'm always eating out in BH and when it comes to indian food, there's only 2 other places in this city I'll eat it at... I've driven by this restaurant plenty of times, though never ate there (it's always looked great from the outside). I can say, the chicken pakora is probably the best chicken pakora i've ever had. Yes, I've eaten plenty of indian food all over (including the UK)... The Chicken Tika Masala had a good amo... read more

Yummy! – East India Grill is REALLy good, and the service is so friendly you practically feel like family. I've eaten in and also had the food delivered, and was really happy with the service both ways. The Eggplant Bharta is a must try. It's out of control.

A poor choice for delivery – Wow, what a disappointment. My food arrived almost an hour late and the owner refused to let me cancel the order. The $13 house curry did not include rice although the sauce was flavorful and the spice level perfect. The samosa's are definitely hearty, but absolutely flavorless. The nan disappointing although it may have been better warm.. Though the restaurant failed to include a menu per my request, I'm not bothered as I have no intention of ordering from them again.

why put up with rude service? – I've been to East India Grill a couple of times and both times ended up frustrated and angry! Don't be fooled by available tables; the kitchen gives priority to take-out orders (a lot of them) so diners at the tables wait a long, LONG time to get food. After the first time, I was still willing to give them another chance, but I just got back from the worst restaurant outing in several years. The waiter was inattentive, then rude and brusque when we asked to order. After waiting almost an hour ... read more

I don't know what all the complaining is about. – I've been to several Indian restaurants and none of them beat East India Grill in terms of taste. My favorite dishes are the Baigan Bharta and Chicken Tikka Masala. True, the service is sometimes a little slow, but the waiter's always make sure to compensate for that with their sweet and helpful demeanor. The staff is Indian behind and beyond the counter, which adds to the restaurant's authenticity. To top it all off, the patio is lit up by a canopy of twinkling lights-perfec... read more

Upscale Bombay meets casual L.A. in this comfortable yet elegant eatery. – The Scene Between the delightful green patio and an intimate glass-walled dining room, it's hard to choose the best place to sit. An open kitchen reveals the busy turbaned chefs and releases the tantalizing aromas from the tandoori oven. La Brea locals, ranging from intellectuals on dates to dining decorators, kick back and relax before their meals. The Food Though the Indian fare is a tad uneven, the vast menu should please everyone. Starters include... read more
