I had a great experience with the surgery. It's probably taken for granted but I really appreciated the first night after surgery, Dr. Mangubat gave me a call to see how I was doing. It made me feel like I was in good hands and the Doctor cared for his patients. They did a great job.
The only thing I would have liked was to see my doctor more during my experience. I did not have the opportunity to see him during appts. Overall a great experience with good results
I was blown away at the level of kindness and care I received here. The staff is so welcoming and willing to ask any question you might have. I would highly recommend this office for anyone seeking top surgery.
I really appreciate that the staff was professional, clearly knowledgeable, thorough, and experienced. Jenna and Doreen were always so friendly as well as the other nurse staff. Interactions with Dr. Mangubat and Dr. Megan were sometimes a little brusque, but I appreciated their professionalism.
Everyone at La Belle Vie is very helpful, welcoming, and professional. I always feel comfortable and well informed during my visits.
The front desk staff were fantastic work with and were so helpful with coordinating with my Group Health social workers. Rosy was amazing. She is the nicest ever and the most welcoming! The anesthesiologist was magical! She was very helpful when I felt anxious. Her presence was calming and I felt safe with her the entire time. I had a great experience - I felt really respected and comfortable with all the doctors and staff at La Belle Vie. Everyone was knowledgeable and friendly.
Overall it was a great experience, but for FTM top surgery, the physical/emotional effects that the surgery produces will be far more powerful than anything you can imagine pre-surgery. Dr. M has an excellent technique and my chest feels like mine, it matches my body and feels like it's always been there.
I am one year post op and this process from pre surgery until now has been great! Dr. Mangubat is very skilled in personally sculpting a chest for his FTM patient. My chest healed so well without any complications, though I was also very diligent in my post op care because that very much matters! The scars are fading but will always be visible somewhat, and that is ok. What matters is my chest fits me well, I have full mobility in my upper body and I rest easy at night finally. Thank you Dr. Mangubat!
