Overall I thought Dr. Mangubat and his staff were great. Very friendly and courteous even when I was only a few days out from surgery and probably moody and was not able to express how excited or appreciative I was. I would say it would be great to spend more time in the preop meeting going over the specific layout of how the chest will be constructed (i.e. the blue print). Dr is very knowledgeable and talented at his chosen field. I appreciated his ability to answer questions and felt very confident in his surgical prowess. However the only room for improvement I felt would be important was a seeming lack of understanding of non-binary transgender people. When I would try to use language I felt was more appropriate to describe myself and how I wanted surgery to go, he would reframe that in terms of being trans male (e.g. well most guys want...). Dr. Mangubat is a kind, thoughtful and highly skilled doctor who did a great job. I also met with Megan Dreveskracht for one appointment and she was great as well. The supporting staff and the office staff all made me feel extremely comfortable, understood and like I was in great hands.
Everyone was very professional and pleasant to be around. I am very satisfied with everything. The doctors and staff always kept me informed about what was going on and were very patient.
The staff and Dr. Mangubat is amazing. They are professionals in every sense of the word. Always felt comfortable and reassured during every visit.
All members of staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and show genuine care for patients. Dr. Mangubat is as kind as he is a skilled surgeon, and I have made many recommendations to my trans friends to see him for their top surgery needs. This surgery changed my life and any fears or doubts were extinguished upon meeting Dr. Mangubat and his staff.
I am happy with what I see so far. I did have some issues w/ getting prescriptions filled, which is not this office's fault. Some cautionary words to patients could help. Kaiser did not fill the Emend and it was hard to find elsewhere by the time I realized it was missing. I wasn't advised of the shortage by them. I only noticed it the night before surgery. Very professional and kind, uses gender-inclusive language. No surgical complications, was an easy process overall.
My experience here has been great. I like my surgical results overall, and I had a positive experience at each of my post-operative appointments.
