She saved my 91 year old Moms eyesight. Look her up, she is a genius, and one of about 3000 in an exclusive world retina society. God forbid I ever have a retina problem, I would just be screaming for her. Shes a totally cool person too and has an excellent bedside manner which is tough when you are dealing the stress of eye injuries. Especially with cranky old ladies, who do appreciate the fact that she looks like a teenager. I met Dr Durga Borkar at Duke Eye Center-Cary for the first time today. She was very friendly and has an excellent personality. She examined my eyes very thoroughly and completely explained the problem and treatment. I normally go to the location at Duke Raleigh Hospital, but will definitely be coming back here in the future. By the way, I also met Elizabeth and Lauren. They were very friendly and helpful as well. My thanks to all of them!
Reception & nursing staff were quick and fun. Doctor was not nice. Wait time short. Perhaps too short bc my eyes weren’t fully dilated (I could see focused and handle sunlight until about 1/2 hour after leaving) so the exam was a bit painful bc of her pushing on the eye so she could see in better bc she wouldn’t wait for the eye drops to dilate properly. Wouldn’t take the time to tell me test results like what my eye pressure was when I asked. They’re not put in patient portal either. She was impatient and not answering ques... read more
