I had a good overall experience at Duke Health. The facility was clean, well organized, and my clinical care team was professional and attentive. My appointment itself went smoothly, and I generally felt well taken care of. However, I was uncomfortable with my interaction at the front desk. A staff member, Ms. Meha, questioned me across the room about what specific procedure I was scheduled for, in a way that could be heard by others in the waiting area. Doctor and staff wonderful BUT My chart said to be there at 7:30 for a 7:45 appointment. Drove from 2 hrs away to find a sign on door that they opened at 8. The check- in desk ( one door down) did open at 7:45 .
Wonderful experience! We had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Pendayl for my mom's appointment and the staff was phenomenal. Our front desk receptionist assisted in setting up the MyChart information and we were called by the nurse within minutes. After the EKG was completed (less than minutes), Dr. Pendayl came in to begin. He was very personable, competent and thorough. It's extremely difficult to schedule an appointment with Dr. Doss. During one call I was told I would be switched to a different provider and someone would be calling me back with an appointment date. I never received that call. I called today and made an appointment with Dr. Doss' PA and the receptionist immediately called me back and said the appointment needed to be canceled because I needed a new order to see Dr. Doss. I'm still having heart issues and no one from scheduling is interested in helping me.
I had an exceptional experience, thanks to the outstanding assistance from the front desk staff and the exceptional care provided by Dee, a remarkably kind and attentive technician. Her unbelievable echocardiogram interpretation skills were matched only by her compassionate bedside manner, making her a true master of her craft. Thank you for creating a safe and welcoming space!
