History Established in 1929. "DuBeau's Motel Inn" was built in 1929 by California businessman Mr A E DuBeau. It was the first motel in Flagstaff, strategically located on the original Route 66 corridor in the center of town. The motel was specifically designed to attract "the better class of motorist" with modern amenities such as private tiled bathrooms, carpeting & double beds. The sunset/Tuesday tour was so great. Even though I spent 14 hours at the canyon the day before, I did and saw things I would never have gotten to experience on my own. Thanks for making my Grand Canyon experience even more amazing.
