I'm a veteran who was medically discharged from the Australian army as a result of a serious knee injury; an injury I sustained as part of my military service. I have had five knee surgeries over the past 10 years and dozens of appointments with orthopaedic surgeons, all of which have been covered by DVA. I had a very bad Left Hip,longer leg.Dr Mullen replaced my hip,with a small bone Graft and shortened my leg to the same length as the right leg. Superb work,i am sailing through my recovery. Cannot thank him and his staff enough. A Superb Surgeon.
update..... I am almost 7 weeks after a bunion op and I can't complain! Everything Dr Mullen has said to do post op I have done and I couldn't be happier. I was expecting a horrible recovery but it has been really good. He stipulated elevation, elevation, elevation....and I've done it. I love that he only gives you a foot boot rather than a friggin moon boot! I am walking so normally so far. I waited 4 years on the public waitlist to see Dr. Sean Mullen, only to be met with one of the most unprofessional and disheartening experiences of my life. I was seeking help for a severely debilitating condition (which I won’t specify for privacy and fear of retaliation). During the appointment, I shared my current medication list, which includes a pain relief medication prescribed by my treating physician. I am a war veteran 47 years of age after ten years service in the Army in Infantry and a further ten years in the Australian Federal Police. I have been diagnosed with Moderate to Severe Osteoarthritis of the Right Hip. Yesterday I had my consultation with Dr Mullen.
