Drs. Shapiro and Balfour are both excellent and the staff is great! I have a difficult prescription and Dr. Shapiro went above and beyond with his time and kindness. You can go there with confidence.
Went to this place based off of convenience and reviews and I was with Dr. Shapiro. Appointment ran about an hour, normal, and he was thorough and was easy to talk to. I got my questions answered and found out a little more about my eyes. When I picked frames within my insurance, it was a decent sized option and even had colors and various frame types. Enjoyed the experience and can't wait for my glasses to come in! This place works with Medi-Cal plans! Bonus: Atmosphere is clean, nice, and is very cozy.
First time here, and it was hard to find a clinic that offers Otis & Piper frames covered by our insurance. I called the same day and was able to get an open appointment with Balfour & Shapiro Optometry for my son with Dr. Shapiro. That alone was a win. The clinic is located on Broadway between 5th and 6th Street in DTLA. I dropped my son off to find parking, and by the time I walked in, he was already picking out frames.
