I feel so grateful that someone recommended Dr. Drake for my comminuted tibia fibula into joint repair. Not only can I speak from personal experience how incredibly lucky I am the TEAM around Dr. Drake only had incredible things to say about him.
On September 12, 2022 I was life flight to St. Vincent's with septic shock. I owe my life to Dr. Drake for evaluating and making a very hard decision without my family there. With his decision to amputate my leg above the knee, I still didn't have a very good chance of surviving the night. After two weeks in ICU, then two weeks in hospital with other hospitalization for recovery I am here today because of Dr. Drake and his team. He is my angel from God and I owe him for saving my life! Dr. Drake is absolutely fantastic! I had an open fracture of my right tibia and fibula, with the bottom of my tibia having been shattered into over 15 pieces and my fibula broken in multiple spots. The orthopedic surgeon in Bozeman actually referred me to Dr. Drake in Billings. They operated on me for over 6 hours and I ended up with 3 titanium plates and 23 screws to put me back together.
