It's been nine years since Zonovia became a part of my life. She went through many difficult moments with me. In my first few years in the U.S., Zonovia helped me recognize microaggressions in higher education settings and coached me on professionalism. She always empowers me to be my authentic self, and she models it. I always think of her and the time we spent together when I need to make big decisions.
