Our experience reflects so many other stories here from bad communication with the office, the rushed doctors visits, to Dr Davies telling me one thing and then insisting she told me something different - all while blaming me for the misunderstanding and being awful about it. I don't think there are words in the dictionary that can describe how extraordinary Dr. Davies is. Dr. Davies right from the moment she walked in the door was the most attentive, kind, knowledgeable. She heard my concerns, had zero gaslighting or looking at me like I didn't know what I was talking about. Dr. Davies is a compassionate, dedicated and outstanding doctor! We met her ten years ago when our son was 13yrs. old and very sick. We had been to a lot of doctors and nobody had any answers. The moment we met Dr. Davies she immediately put us at ease. She knew how to treat our son. Within a year he was healthier and thriving. Ever since then Dr. Davies has been his doctor. Dr. Davies is an outstanding GI doctor. She has treated our special needs son for 17-years. We trust her completely and highly recommend her care!
Dr Davies presents as a well read physician but in reality she is disconnected with the latest treatments and pushes for invasive tests ignoring other data which clearly points in other direction. Very disappointed.. we lost 9 months in which our child suffered!! Frustrating experience. Much more is expected of a GI with her experience.
For basic things like GERD and constipation she is probably fine. But anything out of the box get a second opinion. Office is managed very poorly!!! Misdiagnosed my son with Chrons after he was still having pain post H. Pylori treatment. After getting a 2nd opinion we know he does not have Chrons and are actually making progress in figuring out what is going on!
Dr Davies diagnosed my son with crohns and treated him for a year before we took him for a second opinion. He did not have crohns. Since then we have talked to several parents of children who were also misdiagnosed. Seems to be a pattern with this Dr.
I have been a patient of Dr. Davies for about a decade now and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made! She is truly amazing and helped me through my different phases of IBS treatment. She is always able to answer any questions I have regarding my care. I would recommend her to any of my friends and family!
Dr. Davies is a great doctor. She is well educated and knows her information. However, some of the office policies are super frustrating. For example, she will conduct a phone follow-up for which you have to pay a co-pay. The phone call could be as short as 5 minutes long. She doesn't call during the time the office says that she will call. I have had to call the office to be "rescheduled" for the following week and a specific time frame to have Dr. Davies call a different day/time.
