Way beyond a 5
My family and I see this doctor and recommend.
Went through 3 spine surgeries in a 12 month span left me with a left leg that is pain and numbness. Doctor office will no longer return my calls. Left me to deal with this issue on my own. It seems the nerve damage to my leg is permanent. Nobody wants to tell me I guess. But after 3 surgeries I get the message. Too bad my leg wasn't like this before surgery.
I told the doctor I had a steroid injection for a painful annular tear on my L4-L5 that did nothing to alleviate the pain. He suggested and wanted to do a series of steroid injections around all my healthy lumbar discs (huh?) and my bad disc again. Had a vibe he just wanted that insurance money as this approach made no sense.

Dr. Costigan is a very charismatic, humorous and engaging man. beyond that I find nothing to recommend. He never explains surgeries, what he will do to perform the surgery My left spinal surgery meant to straighten my spine let me hunt and in permanent, chronic pain. Be cause he actually broke my back, as part of the surgery. It was agonizing! I will never be the same. Even worse, he cut my neck, taking at three desks and putting in a cage. Am spina infection developed, requiring additional surgery and daily intervenous feel... read more
Dr. Costigan is an exceptional doctor in his field. Congress Medical never closed throughout Covid and they ensured we were safe. The surgery center is immaculate as well as the offices and I am grateful to everyone at Congress Medical who worked through the pandemic to keep us pain free and safe.
Myself and other family members have been a patient of Dr. Costigan for many years. I have had 5 surgeries with him and all successful. He is an exceptional surgeon; extremely bright and knowledgeable in his field. He continues to advance his education in new treatments and surgical procedures. Sometimes you have to wait, but I would rather spend a little time waiting knowing that I am getting one of the best surgeons one can find. He is also well known and respected by his peers.
