I have scheduled my appointment with Dr. Brayer in April 2007 for May 21,2007. Back in 2004 I have suffered MI and received 2 stents with subsequent prescription for Plavix. When I was making an appointment I have mentioned about Plavix. I have significant calcification deposits and needed deep cleaning with subsequent dental work. During my initial appointment, after taking a complete set of new x-rays, Dr. Brayer informed me that he wants me go off Plavix for at least one week. I consulted with my cardiologist who said that should not stop Plavix because of the nature of my stents (drug coated). To make the story short, Dr. Brayer began sending me for blood tests. First, his office called me and asked for the recent blood test results. I went to the lab and got the blood test. Then, Dr. Brayer said that he specifically wants the PT, INR, and bleeding time tests. I've got the first two because the bleeding time can only be done in the hospital. To make the story short, after almost 2 months of pushing me around he refused to work on me even before getting my INR and PT blood test results. I qualify such "service" [read: no service] as very unprofessional.
