Today was my 6th (or 7th?) colonoscopy with Dr. Basri and my first endoscopy. Because of a family history of colon cancer, I feel he has actually saved my life by removing possibly troublesome polyps. He is very thorough, patient and caring. I hope to never have to go to any other gastro.
I have been with Dr Basri for over 10 yrs, since my colon resection. He is bright, intuitive, knowledgeable and most importantly listens to family history. He is quite proactive when you have a long fami history of colon, pancreatic, rectal and bladder cancers. He is totally on your side and pro active! I live in NC, and still come up to NJ after living in NC for 13 yrs. He is the one I trust with my life.
Worst treatment verbally I have ever experience from a doctor or heard a doctor treat anyone.
I've been a patient of Dr. Basri for close to twenty years. He recently did my colonoscopy and today did an endoscopy on me. He has always been the absolute professional in understanding my issues and in helping me with these problems. He is kind, considerate, and compassionate, in all these many years with him. I trust him in all and am thankful and blessed he is my "Doc."
Socialism medicine but at a cost!
Awesome Doctor. Awesome Sugical Center, Delightful staff. Modern facility. Many comforts. Dr. Basri and staff are more like friends. They are all super polite, helpful and even jovial when rhe situation merits it. I don't know about any other places but this place is too good to try anywhere else. I've been going there about 38 years.
Having no previous history of colon problems i one day woke with rectal bleeding and polyps. My Internist recommended Dr. Basri. I found the doctor and his staff to be highly professional, noting that i had other health issues monitored me during the procedure. That i had no previous symptoms is noteworthy as i had polyps in ascending and descending colon and a collection of blood. Thankfully every thing worked out. I have recommended Dr. Basri to my friends.
Dr. Basri performed a sigmoidoscopy because of rectal bleeding (expecting hemorrhoids) and found a large bleeding pre-cancerous polyp. He removed the polyp, performed a colonoscopy a few weeks later, then said he'd see me in another 3 years (my next regularly scheduled colonoscopy). Luckily my oncologist said I needed an earlier follow-up, so I changed gastroenterologists.
