I went to Tidewater Dental DC in May 2025 for a toothache and was told I needed a crown. UMEKEI SMITH also recommended an inlay on a different tooth that had NO ISSUES AT ALL. The entire crown process was very stressful; my gum ended up getting infected and swollen. I returned about six times for adjustments (each time they charged me), but the original pain never went away. This dentist recommends lots of expensive & unnecessary work. She told my son he had 6-8 cavities (??). Second opinion: 2. She told my other son he needed a root canal. Second opinion: no. She told my dad he had 10 (!!) different problems, necessitating $4k in treatment. Second opinion: no. She tells everyone they need Invisilign.
