Best dentist in town! Service is great and he obviously a very caring doctor who follows your treatment closely. Despite previous comments he is extremely helpful and patient.
I'm super happy with my results, and I can honestly say this procedure has helped me feel like a beautiful person, proud to smile, just days after the surgery! I need to go to an ears, nose, throat specialist because I was informed that the extra bone/gum growth is from "mouth breathing" during sleep, from my deviated septum. I have a consult in October to get that fixed. I can't express my gratitude enough towards Dr. Pekar, Erica, and Kristen for being so wonderful and great through all my questions and a painful procedure... read more
(Here is my pre-op impression of Dr. Pekar and staff, and will revise it post-op) I've always wanted gum contouring as I have a medium-moderate gummy smile. The teeth next to my two front teeth are small, and called 'peg incisors,' so the plan was to be assessed for surgery, and the cost of veneers. Dr. Pekar is lovely, warm, personable, navigating his career with extreme passion and perfectionism. He donates his time as well as medical expertise and supplies to children in impoverished nation's needing dental care. Without ... read more
He needs to do something about his breath. Bad bad breath :(
Lost a molar. He treated it by putting on 'titanium crown'. Dentist who extracted dead tooth laughed "you were told this is titanium?" Seems to overtreat.
This arrogant, self-important little man actually fired me as a patient, after only 1 visit - purely because I dared to questions some of his demands (such as having my blood pressure taken before my dental cleaning, and refusing unnecessary x-rays). Good riddance
He's an okay dentist but a little weird and standoffish. Maybe not a great employer as he's had so many staff turnovers it seems he can't keep anyone for longer than a year. Do they get fired? Do they quit? The last two Danielle is gone, Tracey is gone, they lasted less than a year. No idea what's going on there. The waiting room is ugly but I guess we don't go there for the decor.
My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Pekar for over 15 years. He has always been in the forefront of new techniques and up to date on the leading edge of dental options. He consistingly upgrades his knowledge and certifications to provide patients regarding their dental care. Dr. Pekar takes the time to explain the situation and care options and provides a relaxed atmosphere and confidence in a sometimes personal stressful time. He cares about the patient to the point where he has called at home in the evening to ensure t... read more
Not the worst dentist, but his rather superior attitude, like he's better and funnier than everyone else is grating. The office is ugly and old/cheap looking. He has bad breath and he seems to have a VERY QUICK turnover of staff. I've been seeing him for over a year and he's gone through countless dental hygienists. So something is wrong there. I'm going to be going elsewhere because of his bad breath issue. How in the world does a dentist have bad breath???
