I saw Dr. Kowalski in the past for sphincter of oddi dysfunction and loved him back then, but I stopped going to him as I found a provider closer to my house. Recently, I was hospitalized for a bad SOD attack that led to cholangitis and sepsis, so I thought it would be helpful to see him again, but I was wrong. After strolling into the exam room an hour and 15 minutes past my appointment time (no apology or anything), he proceeded to tell me that since he cut the duct, I cannot possibly have SOD anymore. This upper GI doctor is amazing I had to have a upper GI procedure done and Dr Thomas Kowalski took the time to explain what he was going to do and explained everything every step of the way and made me feel so comfortable and answer every question I had ..... And his staff and Anastasia's and the hospital was so amazing They talk to during pre op then in the operating room and in recovery room.....and I would recommend this doctor and Thomas Jefferson hospital all over again
