I was referred for a knee replacement. I had been having problems with infection. We did an antibiotic spacer for a year before my knee replacement was scheduled. The knee replacement went great. So great that I was up and walking in the next day. He came in and said why are you putting weight on your leg? I said nobody told me I couldn’t. I didn’t talk to anyone after the surgery. Dr K is excellent! I have had both of my knees replaced by him.
Dr. Karthikeyan has the worst manners of any doctor I have ever consulted. I was born with congenital defects in both knees and had ligament surgery on both knees at the age of 23. Afterwards I was warned that because of extensive cartilage damage I would eventually have to have my knees replaced but having artificial joints implanted at that age was not recommended as they would not last a lifetime and would have to be implanted more than once. Dr k and his staff was wonderful to my husband during his knee revision surgery.
Everything was ok for my knee replacement for a little while, but was kicked out of in home PT too soon i thought. Then I finished outpatient PT with good results, but just as soon as i finished outpatient PT my troubles started. I noticed my knee was buckling out from under me unexpectedly while walking.
