I experienced many of the similar negative experiences as previous commenters, i.e. long wait time to see the doctor, frequent re-scheduling, referral problems, no callbacks from office staff. I've never had to make an appointment to go over my lab results. Most importantly was a long wait time to get a prescription filled. Apparently my health isn't important enough for this office in order for them to wait weeks to get my prescription filled. My health suffered for weeks because of this.
If you like to go into the Drs. office every 3 months just to get your Prescription renewed, then Dr. Barbee is for you. She will not renew your Prescription unless you make an appointment and then have to wait in the waiting room for an hour. That kind of Dr. is not for me!
I didn't see Dr barbee, however I was seen by her associate Jennifer Simpson. She introduced herself to me as Jen, made me feel incredibly comfortable. In addition, the nurse heather, who checked my vitals and everything while waiting for Jen (which by the way,was the shortest wait I hAve ever experienced in any Dr office),was the most sincere, comforting nurse I have ever met. The front desk staff; Jennifer and rachel went above and beyond to accommodate me despite insurance issues. Incredible
Always long wait. Follow through e.g. Prescriptions being called in, referrals being done in a timely manner, calling to see how I was in the hospital, and more.. Also unfortunately though Dr. Barbie is a very pleasant person she is grinding herself into the ground trying to build up the practice to the misfortune of someone who is a new patient and doesn't have much time to have already created the doctor patient relationship'.
Ever since Dr. Barbee began replacing her front staff my experience has dramatically went down. I am unable to reach the office by phone, after numerous phone calls, they do not answer. I have had multiple referrals sent to doctors that do not accept my insurance, and after bringing up these issues, I was told that they're short staffed, as if that was a good enough solution to their mistakes. I would highly recommend seeing another doctor until this staff learns how to do their jobs properly.
