my experience was great. I got there a bit early. there was only about a 5min wait in lobby before my pre exam(picture of eyes, air puff & distance). then about a 3min wait in actual exam room. the optometrist was kind and she thoroughly explained everything. I took about 4mins picking through glasses. only reason I gave a 4 star instead of 5 is because I asked for a paper copy of my prescription, but did not receive it. pobody's nerfect, but pretty darn close to it.
I had a good experience at this location on east 38th. Got my favorite color in marbled design very happy with them.(paid for) The ones the insurance paid for are cute also.
Dr.Tavel is an Amazing eye care facility. I and my two children had an appointment yesterday and the employee that handled our paperwork and payment gave me a difficult time, took way longer than expected and was also rude. Other than her the E.38th location is amazing.
Update: in the middle of being given the runaround on a botched pair of glasses. Will update, but until then I CANNOT CURRENTLY RECOMMEND. (Five stars changed to one star.) Update: the place is under new, friendly management. I cannot emphasize enough how great the folks here are here. Make an appointment, they can get busy. Accessibility is not an issue. The staff here is wonderful everytime I come, I feel like I'm visiting with my family, the optometrist is very personable and knowledgeable. I trust her and the staff with my eye care and will continue to be a valued client
