Aweful place to do business with. First time there wrong prescription had to go back only to be told well you'll eventually need that much later. So because of insurance I try them again. Something comes up and need to reschedule only to be put on hold for 20 minutes finally just hung up and figured out a way to make it to the appointment.Get there only to be told they didn't have an appointment for me scheduled and they would have to 'fit' me in. Would never again go here. The doctor was rude, stating that I would not get a refund if I decided not to come back for a pair of glasses after the visit. Mind you I waited almost and hour to be seen for my SCHEDULED appointment. What ever he put in my eyes burned and continued burning for a week. My eyes were blood shot and I could not open them. I ended up having to make a trip to the emergency room. Not only did the doctor dilate my eyes but he dilated them and sent me out the door. So I had to drive home seeing I tunnel ... read more
I went in this location for the first time in March, I just had to add my review because of the excellent service that I received, staff was very helpful and friendly, Alyssa helped me pick my glasses while my eyes were dialated, and I appreciate the choice, being that I could barely see, my service was fasr, the doctor was very professional and helped me in every possible way, I have been without glasses for years, I got my glasses in 1 week and I’m so thankful that I can finally see again! Dr Ball and staff are simply terrific! My son was fitted for contacts and Teresa was so very patient and professional with him as she walked him through the whole process. He was very nervous, but she made it so easy on him. When making an appointment, ask specifically to see Dr Ball. Unfortunately, there is another doctor at this location who seriously needs to work on his professionalism......
I'm extremely pleased, overall!! Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, from beginning to end. Dr. McCoy, was wonderful!! I generally don't comment on these reviews, however this time was the exception. Thank you!!
My eye exam went well and I felt very positive about my overall experience. I was given trial contacts to wear and a followup appointment to have them checked. They said they would text me about my appointment, but I wrote it down for my own schedule. I never received a text and when I went in they had me scheduled on a different day than I was told originally. I rescheduled and this time when I went in the Dr. wasn't there that day. The newly renovated office looks nice. Other than that nothing positive to say. They are supposed to run eligibility for my son's insurance before they even have you come in and they failed to do so, resulting in me wasting my entire morning for nothing. They should have let me know ahead of time that something was wrong with his coverage so I wouldn't have even wasted my time coming to the appointment. So now my kid still has no glasses and I lost out on time at work.
Very enjoyable visit. Fast exam and nice friendly staff. I found no problem or anything to complain about with location OR staff. :-) They helped me get just what I wanted and I will stay loyal to them when talking to anyone about eyecare in Bloomington! Well done Dr. Tavels!!
Please take your kids somewhere else for your eye care needs. Poorly trained staff and no customer service skills. I took a child in for an appt. I was in the waiting room with 3 other children. They did not involve me in the process at all. No one asked me approval of the frames or discussed with me any change in prescription. After speaking to the eye doctor and staff at a later date they do not involve the parent. They just want you in and out as quickly as possible. Rude and unprofessional.
