I liked Dr. Vu and thought she was an excellent doctor. I was upset that she would no longer see me because my primary insurance carrier became Medicare, even though I have a supplemental insurance carrier, I was told she would does not see Medicare patients. I have still recommended her to some friends and they have been happy with her.

Dr. Vu refused to see me after a decade at her office because I saw another OB/GYN two times. I saw this other doctor because an attending at MUSC suggested her in lieu of Dr. Vu. The other doctor was appropriate , but I preferred the office I have been to most of my adult life. When I called to make an appointment I was told that "Dr. Vu doesn't see patients that are not 100% confident in her care". Clearly I underestimated her sensitivity and fragile ego.

I recently called Dr Vu's office to get an appointment. When the staff answered they were very rude and uncaring. I explained my situation and how I lost my baby very recently and the receptionist said that the office manager would call me back the next day and schedule an appointment. I spoke with Dottie who was horrible and uncaring. She refused to give me an appointment and then hung up on me. I realize I was grieving , but I felt Dr Vu was was my hope. Dottie took that away from me!
