I couldn't ask for a better physician or overall experience! Dr. James is very caring, thorough, and most importantly, knowledgable! I've seen 3 other OB/Gyns. (All at Central Baptist) and Dr. James surpasses them in every way. She is known for her expertise and is in very high demand.
When I went to see Dr James she had a emergency c-section. I returned in the afternoon. She is a very knowledgeable and confident doctor. I had my Da Vinci Robotic hysterectomy done by Dr James. The procedure was little complicated due to the size and where my fibroid was situated. She removed the fibroid the size of a big grapefruit, uterus, ovaries and cervix. Excellent doctor. Thorough and great knowledge of children
Dr James is the best doctor I know. I have been seeing her for 25 years and I am so thankful. She is a gift from God having taking care of all my Ob problems. There is not an OB doctor I can think of who wouldn't have problems with appointments. After all, she does deliver babies at the hospital. They don't run on appointments.
In my opinion, Dr. James is a terrific surgeon and competent ob, especially with routine pregnancies. I'm not so sure about the competency of the staff. During my last pregnancy, they managed to fully misplace my chart on one occasion, and the nurse asked me the same questions over and over with each successive visit. "When was your last period? We went to this doctor for 2.5 years. She was always dismissive and condescending. When we were trying to get through a difficult medical issue, she biased two other pediatricians and ultimately made a consult to a specialist a big waste of time (her diagnosis: school avoidance). Guess what: she was wrong! It turned out to be something else, so she effectively wasted 3 months of our time while my child was crying in pain every day. The phrase is "adding insult to injury".
I do not recommend this doctor. After having an ultrasound, without the doctor present, I saw Dr. James. I told her I was concerned about the ultrasound. She did not listen well, did not acknowledge my concerns and talked down to me. She keeps you waiting for hours and does not apologize. Her staff is not sympathetic to your time.
Dr. James is NOT knowledgeable and refuses to admit her mistakes. She came in after my hysterectomy and RIPPED OFF my bandage,after discontinuing my pain medicine 12 hours earlier than she said. I immediatley starting crying and hyperventilating(it hurt that bad)and she left the room right away. I had complications following surgery and she was unsympathetic and her nurse was down right rude and hostile. my issues were never resolved and she got nastier and nastier with each visit.
Dr. James is wonderful. She delivered my 2nd & 3rd children. She did an emergency c-section and everything went amazingly well. She is very knowledgeable and very experienced and I highly recommend her, especially for non-routine pregnancies/deliveries. During routine visits she often seems to be in a hurry but she makes time for you when it matters.
