Dr Shaukat is extremely knowledgeable about cognitive issues with Lyme disease and diabetic neuropathy. Have had several follow-up visits and found that he listens intently and is very diligent about finding the right solution to medical issues. Although the wait-time is usually quite long, if you are looking for an excellent neurologist, he is well worth the wait!
I am so impressed with Dr. Shaukat. I've been suffering with migraines most of my life and I've finally found a physician with the expertise and persistence to work with me until we get this resolved. He is professional, answers all my questions and communicates with my PCP. I am so grateful to have found him.
I have seen Doctor Shaukat multiple times. His waiting area is alway full with patients. The wait time is alway a hour over your appointment time. His help is rude. He has know bed side manner. Always in a hurry. He talks into is computer while you sit there waiting for him to treat you. He lacks communication skills. He has ordered numerous tests and has conducted some tests himself. He never has explained the results of the test. Went there for memory and taste loss. No diagnosis as of yet.
To wired up and doesn't listen. I'm sure he's very overwhelmed with the amount of people his office deals with.
Does not have the personality to deal with patients. Feel like our appointment is always rushed and there is a need to repeat questions in order to get an answer. Spends more time speaking into his computer than actually talking with the patient. Shows very little interest in the patient. After waiting on an average of an hour plus, you would think there would be some time spent with the patient. The scheduling of patients is horrible. The staff is shows signs of incompetence.
Doesn’t care about his patients.
He took a thorough history and listened to what I had to say. He discussed possible causes for my symptoms and ordered appropriate tests/referrals to a specialist. Getting an appt was not difficult and the office staff was nice.
The doctor himself is phenomenal and very thorough. However, his front desk staff is horrible. They are hard to understand, they are rude, and they are unprofessional!
Terrible bedside manner, not friendly or helpful at all. Lacks any empathy towards patients. Does not explain tests or the discomfort associated with them. Doesn't seem to care about patient outside of their diagnosis.
